This week Devine Gardens was featured on NERC's website (Northeast Recycling Council) NERC was awarded a SARE grant to expand and support farm-based compost markets in the Northeast. Devine Gardens was one of seven lucky northeastern farms to benefit from one on one technical and marketing assistance. Thank-you Athena for writing such a nice article and for all of the time and hard work that you put into the Devine Gardens case study. To view the case study click here.
I won't be selling at the Hamilton market tomorrow - the weather forecast is cold and flurries. If you would like to buy pie pumpkins they will be for sale along Route 20 in front of the cow barn. When cooked the pulp of pie pumpkins won't be grainy and stringy but instead will be a nice, smooth consistency.
